So School Days is one of those anime that you watch and you think to yourself, "Haven't I seen this shit before?". And then you get to the end of the first episode and you're still thinking the same thing. You know, first impressions usually mean a lot, but when first impressions are usually ....less than stellar and that seems to be the norm for first episodes, you gotta keep with it. Usually, to get the best experience you watch the series as a whole (Usually at least if it's 12 episodes, you can trek on).
Jason Statham, star of action and, well, more action movies, will step up for Transporter 3. Statham will be returning along side Francois Berleand (the cop then cook) and joining newcomer Robert Knepper from FOX's Prison Break.
The fun action flick featuring a driver for hire is probably not going to be much of a departure from the first two flicks. Although bring in a new director, Olivier Megaton, looks to mix things up a bit. Unfortunately (or... perhaps fortunately...) I haven't seen any of his work to form an opinion and prospect this new movie.
Here's hoping for more car chases and driving action... less random 'bomb removal with a jump and crane.'
So I've been into anime for quite a long time. You know, I'm that guy who was into Sailor Moon back in the day because that's all there was besides the Sci-Fi channel stuff. (Oh Man, do you remember Roujin-Z? Gall Force? I do.) And then as anime was made more available through retailers such as Suncoast and Media Play. They had all the stuff you could want. That was when I had free time, that was when I had a NewType subscription to sample every anime I could ever want. I developed my own tastes after experiencing all sorts of different kinds of anime over the years. Now that I'm out of high school, and I've started working, it's harder to find out which anime fits my needs. There was a point when I had a falling out with anime, but now we're in a love-hate relationship. There's a few here and there that I try, but every time I sample something new it's usually something I've seen before, or something that had the potential to be executed so much better.
So yeah. I've been watching anime for a long time. I think I have the right to poke fun a little bit at it. I mean, can you honestly say that anime isn't like that?
Evangelion wins big at the Tokyo International Anime Fair. While Gurren Lagann, Gundam 00, and Death Note also had wins in other categories.
Of course, congrats to Tekkonkinkreet, an anime I have never heard of before...
