Otaku Evolution Episode 144 - Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn

First, a little tribute to Daron Nefcy's Star vs the Forces of Evil, a show I only got into this year but will miss forever, for some reason. A really fun cartoon that blossomed into a compelling one with continuing story arcs. It's been over a month since "Cleaved", the final episode, but I wanted to sneak something in. I ended up doing more than I thought because I was able to link it to Dragon Ball. Starco forever, but the best relationship was Eclipsa and Globgor.

Speaking of things that are gonna get a little weird, gonna get a little wild... DBZ Movie 12, Fusion Reborn! For some reason I remembered parts of it wrong before I rewatched it. Like I thought the old villains were in a few scenes instead of just one. Like even after Freeza bit it in one hit they still had to fight, like, Turles, Lord Slug, Coola, etc. But they're such a miniscule part of this, and I'm okay with that. The return of the villains is treated as a joke, and it works.

This movie is definitely in the top 3 of the original 13 DBZ movies. It's short, like most of them, but it's got everything you really need in one of these features, with its creative, well-animated action and well done humor. FU-SION-HA!
