With the help of the chimeras, he uses alchemy to remove it and heal himself, losing consiousness from exhaustion. The chimeras, feeling betrayed by Kimbley, decide to take him to safety.

Comments:

It seems like there's another scratchy voice contest between Vic Mignogna and Eric Vale in this episode, though at least Vic tones it down a little towards the end. Kimbley's voice really grates. As if putting up with Marcoh's voice for this show wasn't bad enough. Once Envy comes back into the picture, it's bound to get worse. The delivery is as pitiful as ever, too. I remember when I referred to Eric Vale as "the Vic Mignogna who can act". Vic is actually doing a better job in this episode.

Speaking of Vic Mignogna's Edward, I thought he tackled Edward's screams from his injury and self-healing fairly well. It didn't ring false as he sometimes does when trying to convey strong emotion. I really felt like this character was in a massive amount of physical pain. Humorously, we won't see Edward again for a few episodes. It figures.

I'm still finding the chimera voices to be incredibly generic. Maybe it's because of the effect on their voices. It's not as though the Japanese voices for the characters were that distinct, so I guess I can't complain too loudly about it. It just bothers me sometimes when I'm listening to them. I think one of them is Chris Rager, the voice of Her--- Mr. Satan in DBZ.

Otherwise, a lot of the others do pretty well. Maxey Whitehead's Al is still great, Monica Rial's May is good, and I still really enjoy Miles' VA's performance. Rose will be appearing in the next episode, and there'll be plenty of Pride and Hohenheim, too, so I'll be making sure to listen in to them especially.

Overall ENGLISH DUB Score:

3.5 out of 5
